AND WHAT SHOULD IT DO?

LESSON 10: Review and Assessment

Objectives:

This lesson concludes the unit. It ties together ideas introduced in previous units, and provides a cumulative assessment tool.

Student Learning Objectives:

  • Students should review and apply knowledge gained from lessons 1-9 in this series.

  • Students should pass the assessment portion of this lesson.

Suggested Grades:

3rd Grade - 4th Grade - 5th Grade

 

 

 

 

 

REVIEW AND ASSESSMENT LESSON PLAN

Student Deliverables:

Teacher should have copies of the Lesson 10 story and handout (see below) to distribute to the class (3 pages). Assessment may be given as a homework assignment or as a quiz/exam.

Sequence of Events:

  • Distribute handouts and read through as a class, or use as class notes for teacher-led instruction.

  • Read over the directions of the assessment. Be sure that students understand the tasks.

  • Students should complete the assessment independently.

  • Review answers and assign a grade for the unit..

Student Tasks:

  • To complete the concluding review, either as reading or notes, and to successfully complete the assessment.
