	WEATHER FORECASTER LESSON   
	Directions: 
	Print the Be a Weather Forecaster    reading 
	comprehension passage and questions (see 
	below).   
	Students should read the passage 
	silently, then answer the questions.  Teachers may also use the text as 
	part of a classroom lesson plan.   
	Lesson Excerpt  You can learn to  use your senses to forecast the weather.   By making careful observations of what is happening around you, you will  soon learn what signs of coming weather look like.  For instance, if the weather is warm, the sky  is sunny, and there are not clouds in the sky, you can be pretty sure it will  stay that way for at least several hours.      If you make  careful observations and keep  records of the weather along with them, you will soon see what changes in the  weather you can predict.  Watch the  clouds, because clouds can tell you a lot about the weather.  Different kinds of clouds mean different  types of weather.  Identifying clouds and  the weather that comes with each type is a great way to predict the  weather.  Continued...
