Lesson Procedure:
Print the reading comprehension passage and questions (see below).
Students should read the passage silently, then answer the questions. Teachers may also use the text as part of a classroom lesson plan.
Lesson Excerpt:
Materials: Construction paper, notebook paper, yarn, stapler, three-hole punch, dictionary, colored pencils, standard pencils, soft scissors, magazines, glue sticks; worksheets to explain/describe adjectives.
Timeline: Two Weeks
Instructional Procedures:
Students will create a “My Favorite Places in School” book to describe pre-selected places within the school, such as the cafeteria, the gym, the library, the playground, the classroom, the nurse’s office, and the principal’s office.
Teacher begins the lesson with the definitions of the words “human” and “physical” in relation to the various places on their field trip within the school.
