Identifying the Main Idea

Lesson Procedure:

Students should read the lesson, and complete the worksheet. As an option, teachers may also use the lesson as part of a classroom lesson plan.

Lesson Excerpt:

John and Emily were bored. They were tired of playing video games and wanted to do something different.

“What would be fun?” asked Emily.

“I don’t know,” said John. “Maybe we can put my new puzzle together.”

“That sounds like fun,” said Emily.
