- “Today we are going to begin working with monomials. We have seen some monomials before when we were working on exponents. We just didn’t call them monomials then. Now we are going to expand our definition of what a monomial is and different ways to work with them. Let’s start with what a monomial is.”
- “A monomial is a term that has variables and often exponents too. The term mono means 1. So when we are talking about a monomial, we are talking about one term. Another key thing about a monomial is that multiplication is the operation involved. Here is an example of a monomial.”
